At Braven, one of our core values is Live Your Legacy, meaning we align our actions with our beliefs and have the courage to do what is right even when it is hardest to do so. We are transparent about our decisions and actions, and authentic in all that we do. Others paved the path for us; we must do it for others. This Hispanic Heritage Month, we are calling attention to 5 Latinx leaders (in no particular order) who are living their legacy in our communities. “Undercover” at the Campus Career Fair

If you’re like me–or like many of my fellow shy, quiet, SJSU Spartans– going to a career fair would be the last thing you would want to do on a Thursday afternoon. Meeting with unfamiliar professionals, at an unfamiliar place, talking about unfamiliar things? No thanks. At least, that’s what I would have said prior to taking the Braven Accelerator Course. Now, as a Post-Accelerator Fellow (PAF), I know better.

My biggest advice to anyone going into a new internship is to not be afraid. Go to everything. You might meet someone who can help you in your current role or assist in getting a future one! Always have a pen and paper handy to write down things you may want to do research on at a later time. Good luck to everyone with the new school year and remember if you give it 500% – that internship, job, or project, you have the potential to learn so much.
