#GivingTuesdayNow: Support Braven’s Students

Posted on

Giving Tuesday Now is a global day of giving and unity that takes place on May 5, 2020. Unlike other Giving Tuesdays, this one is different–it is a much-needed response to the unfavorable impact COVID-19 has had on our Braven community. We hope you’ll consider donating to the emergency student support funds set up by our university partners to help funds get directly into the hands of our students.

Your Impact During This Time

Many students’ educations have been disrupted and impacted significantly due to COVID-19. The uncertainty of the current situation has created unexpected housing and food expenses, restricted travel and potentially stranding students away from home, and limited their income from hourly jobs or work-study positions.

Your support during this challenging time will provide critical resources to students so they can make rent payments, cover medical costs, and gain access to the technology resources they need to attend online classes. These university funds are entirely supported by charitable donations like yours. Any amount can help meet a student’s time-sensitive needs.

With your support, we can act quickly to fulfill even more student requests, which are increasing dramatically due to the ramifications of COVID-19.
